     According to the news, jihadi violence took place in this area last year as well  The gravity of violence has been a little higher this year.  Hindu houses were vandalized and looted in the Jethighat area of ​​Kalibari under Uluberia police station of Howrah district on Sunday night, 25/10/20.  Many locals allege that Sheikh Azad was the mastermind behind the violence. Sheikh Azad is the influential muslim leader of this area.  All the boats and ships that come to this Jethi Ghat are under the control of Sheikh Azad.  No one dare to complain against him for having this influence.  Azad used that opportunity.  At ten o'clock in the night on the Navami Durga puja, some Muslims started drinking obscene liquor and started throwing bad language and abused hindu culture in Hindu areas. It was the crime of the Hindus of the area to protest against the use of abusive language.  After that Hindu houses were vandalized, looted, women were tortured and children were attacked.

        After a while, the office of the Hindu Samaj Kalyan Samiti (HSKS) started getting phone calls about jihadi violence.  Desperate pleas keep coming to save. Preparations were underway to call various administrative departments. The relaxing news came that huge RAF has been deployed in the area. The administration quickly took control of the troubled area and calmed it down. Upon receiving this news,  Hindu Samaj Kalyan Samiti (HSKS) immediately thanked the administration.  Today, HSKS activists went to the area and talked to people.  HSKS activists also said that there was no such awareness among the surrounding Hindus about the protection of religion.  Huge police force is still in deployment to avoid any unavoidable circumstances.
