Shiva Temple Demolition at Dhola South 24 Pargana.

Disturbances in south 24 parganas regarding the the construction of a Shiv temple.

Reportedly today i,e 5th August 2020 around 10.30 am Police and public took on each other regarding a construction of Rameswar Shiva Temple.

It all occured on 3rd August on the day of Rakhi Purnima When the villagers of Shimulberia under Dholahat P.S started building a Shiva Temple on the land (PWD claimed the land)of respected Gopalda.

Police intervened  and advised them not go ahead.

The eyewitnesses say "Today police came and asked the villagers to demolish the temple. When the temple was demolishing the villagers became indignant and started preventing and engaged in clash."

It is reported that Police charged lathi mercilessly

on villagers specially on women. ( It's very unfortunate that male police go on rampage on women)

It's also reported that some policemen have seriously been injured.

Hindu activist Arnab Panda's house been demolished.

The villagers has made contact asked the help of HINDUSAMAJ KALYAN Samiti. We will stand beside them.

We urge administration to stop torture on women and children.
